Long after the angels sang and the shepherds left, a quiet man named Simeon was still waiting. Righteous, devout, and led by the Spirit, he spent his life looking for the consolation of Israel, and one day, his waiting turned to worship as he held the Messiah in his arms. Today, we’re reminded that faithful waiting is never wasted. Like Simeon, we can live with eyes fixed on God’s promises, confident that the same Spirit who led him now leads us as we wait for Christ’s return.
