After years of silence and waiting, Zechariah and Elizabeth welcome their long-promised son, and the first sound in their home is worship. We can be people who celebrate God’s faithfulness not just in our own stories but in the lives of others, and learn from John the Baptist’s unwavering humility and focus. Just as John’s life proclaimed, “He must increase, but I must decrease,” ours can too. May we be people who rejoice in God’s goodness, speak His name boldly, and use our lives to prepare the way for the One who is still coming.
