Featuring: Constance Rhodes
With creative visuals, honest storytelling, and a disarming sense of humor, Constance Rhodes leads a breakout session that dives headfirst into one of the most paralyzing barriers in Christian life and leadership: shame. But instead of approaching shame from a purely psychological or theological angle, Constance invites women to consider how shame subtly steals clarity, confidence, and connection—and how we can reclaim all three through community and the love of Jesus.
Constance weaves personal experiences, coaching insight, and ministry leadership into a fresh and practical talk that equips women to identify the “shame bombs” they carry—those internal lies about being too much, not enough, or disqualified. She challenges false humility, calls out culture’s silencing of women’s voices, and highlights the need for relational mirrors who reflect both truth and love.
A major focus of the session is practical: Constance introduces a tool called “checking in”—a two-minute voice message practice that fosters intentional emotional connection between friends, especially when life feels isolating. Through an elephant-inspired metaphor of “alert circles,” she paints a beautiful picture of what it looks like to protect one another, stand guard against shame, and be safe places where women can show up authentically.
