Featuring: Lisa Harper, Allison Allen, Dr. Lynn Cohick, Dr. Eva Bleeker, Dr. Dorian Coover-Cox, Dr. Nicole Martin, Dr. Irini Fambro, Dr. Medine Keener
In this extraordinary gathering of some of the Church’s most trusted theological voices, the Back Porch Theology team hosts a candid, wisdom-filled conversation about calling, leadership, Scripture, and the sacred stories that shape us. The panel features powerhouse women scholars and leaders who bring clarity, compassion, and courage to issues often weighed down by confusion or controversy.
From biblical interpretation to personal pain, each woman reflects on what it means to lead with empathy, suffer well, and steward truth in a culture of noise and division. Dr. Nicole Martin shares from her book Nailing It on why redemptive leadership requires empathy. Dr. Lynn Cohick addresses misunderstood passages about women in Paul’s letters. Dr. Dorian Coover-Cox highlights the Christ-centered continuity of the Old Testament. Dr. Eva Bleeker teaches the healing power of narrative work. And Dr. Irini Fambro vulnerably shares about leading while healing.
The session ends with a Spirit-filled prayer and testimony from Dr. Medine Keener, who recounts carrying her son on her back through a war zone as he sang: “With God’s strength, we will overcome.” Her voice becomes the benediction for every woman listening: your story matters, and you are called to speak.
