For centuries, the desert has been a place where God’s people discover Him in deeper ways. Drawing from Tertullian’s insight that “what the desert was for the prophets, the prison became for the Christian,” we explore Paul’s years in Arabia and his time in prison. We also reflect on the wisdom of the Desert Mothers and Fathers, who left the noise of the city to seek God in solitude and silence.
