While the Church is a beautiful picture of God’s kingdom plan for togetherness, the modern church certainly has its strengths and weaknesses. It’s easy to get lost in the patterns of simply attending and leaving, without making any real effort to get plugged in or to be vulnerable. It often takes more than a Sunday morning commitment to really understand what the first century churches were like during Paul’s ministry. Sometimes, “church” may look like a small group of people gathering together to talk about the Lord and invite others to the table. Sometimes being the Church means going out and making community.
