God doesn't leave us stuck in the past, circling the same pain and struggles. He meets us in the fire, in the brokenness, in the wilderness, but He doesn't leave us there. Through Lamentations 3, Philippians 3, and Romans 5, we learn that God's mercies are new every morning, and the Christian life is lived forward. Paul reminds us to let go of what's behind and press on toward what God has ahead. Moving forward means receiving God's renewal, living with purpose and expectancy, and trusting that God writes the story, one faithful step at a time.
