Over and over again in Scripture, we see that sin is the ultimate barrier to entry for life and, therefore, into the Kingdom of God. Jesus takes for himself our sin and shame as He gives His life on the cross, and the barrier between humanity and the Kingdom they were destined for is torn down. This is it, the central moment of the Kingdom: the cross event.
