The Return Era of Israel coincides with the last few historical books of the Old Testament. These pages bring Israel back to the promised land and restoration. As the temple is rebuilt and the people reunited, it’s clear that the promises spoken through countless prophets are coming to pass. Haggai, one of the prophets during this era, proclaims that God will, “shake up the earth and restore peace”. But even in their return, the Israelites will still find themselves waiting for their Messiah, and the fulfillment of the Lord’s full redemption.
