After heaven’s announcement, the shepherds ran to see the newborn King, then ran to tell everyone what they’d witnessed. Mary, by contrast, stayed still and treasured the moment quietly in her heart. Faith holds both rhythms, proclaiming and pondering. Some moments with God are meant to be shared; others are meant to be savored. This Advent, may we do both: boldly declare His goodness and quietly dwell in His presence, glorifying the One who is still worthy of our praise and still near to every pondering heart.
